I received my visa recently and wanted some help on two entries in the stamp.
1. Entries- M what does this mean?
2. Visa type/ Class- R B1/B2 what does this mean?

M- multiple entry
R--???
B1/B2-- business/visitor visa. Depending on what you say your purpose of visit is at US entry--you will receive a stamp
B1 (business) OR B2(visitor) on a white card I-94.

Ok thank you. Just a thought coming up from your reply. Can one change his purpose of visit from tourism(as given in DS156) to business at port of entry. And can one switch between tourism and business on next visits?

I suggest on your first visit, you should tell them what you wrote on DS 156.
On subsequent visits, you can change your purpose, no problems. That is why
they have the visa as B1/B2.
