Applied for US passport

Hi,

We have applied for my daughter's US passport .. the lady at the postr office said that we need to present Birth ceritificate.. we hadnt recvd it yet..and we had to urgently go to India.. so she asked us to attach anote saying it's still in the mail and we only presented Birth Letter.

Will we still recieve her passport? and how long would it take?? Please advise..

Also how long will it take to get India visa for her? She is a 3 month old

How to go about to apply for Indian VIsa? I live in virginia! Do ineed appointment to go to the embassy?

You can apply in person or in mail. Check out the embassy's website. At least here in SFO you do not need to get an appointment to apply in person
