some of the deductions from the pay check are
FICA taxes (Medicare and social security)
federal tax, state tax and if applicable local taxes. It is hard to say at what rate for your area.
other deductions include your contribution to health premiums and if applicable flexible benefits. and 401k deductions.
by rough rule of thumb taxes constitute between 25-30% of income based on Salary bracket.
some employers issue check every other week .... 26 checks total/yr
some every 15 days 24 checks total
based on that calculate your expected net to be around .7X65000/24-26
you will know the exact amount in your first pay stub.
my advice dont spend on non-essential till you save about 6xmonthly salary in bank.

Your tax and net pays depends on your dependents and your state.
How may dependents do you have.
