If its a left hand drive car, you cannot import the car into India. Its a better idea to sell your car here and buy a new one in India since most cars manufactured/assembled in India are adapted well for Indian roads.

You can import a left hand drive car in India, you need to have a plate that reads it's a LEFT HAND DRIVE car.

The import is managed through STC or State Trading Corporation.

However, you're better off selling your car here and getting a new/old one in India. That will not only come out cheaper but will be easier to maintain in the long run.

Good luck.

you can import indian made cars without any tax
eg mahindra scorpio is available in dubai
if you want to bring your land cruiser , you have to pay 100% of its market value as tax , if you are returning to india as transfer of residence,

thats how salman khans suv is still in the name of some one in kasargode
