As i posted before my application got denied becouse i'm obviosly not a good guy since i drove drunk. However law clearly states that DUI should not be a reason to fail "good morale character" requirements.

Now i'm going to request a review hearing on this decision, and i need help here. Looks like i'll be doing it myself, knowlegeble people please if you would give me couple a hints i would very appreciate it. Should i push or be nice, how to and what to expect? Thanks a bunch, Sergey.

If there is only one case of DUI, you have a good chance to win an appeal. Get a lawyer because you do not want to get caught in legal issues yourself. Although a DUI is suppose to not show bad morale, unfortunately the law leaves that decision to the officer. There are people who have been denied for the excessive minor tickets such as speeding. If you still get denied, wait for a few years, usually as time passes by and there is no repetition of the DUI, you have a better chance of proving this was a one time mistake.

A court case can take at least a year - if your DUI was say 4 years back, then you only have to wait a year and refile, because your moral behavior is assessed for last 5 years only.
