EAD Vs H1

Hi Guys,

I have currently applied for 140/485 parallel processing and I have received my EAD card. My H1 is expiring in next month. I can still apply for extension for another 10 more months. I am not sure whether to go to EAD status or apply for an H1 extension. Can anyone explain the pros and cons of switching from H1 to EAD?

Apply for H1 - that way if you need to travel you can always use the H1 if your AP has not been processed or has expired.

Its ok to have both your H1B and EAD at the same time. You do not loose anything by applying for the H1 extention.
