I got one of those Receipt with Exception. :-( My wife and I applied together, but her notice does not have Exception.

And over that they had mistyped my last name and I have already called them and given them the correct name. (It was just a call center where they basically submitted a request for change on their computer and said that it would take 45 business days for processing. That is fast I thought! :-<)

We submitted just the 4 items for both of us. N-400, Copy of GC, Photos, and Check. I did have 4 traffic tickets (all much less than $500, No DUI or Reckless) in the last 13 years and may be that could be the reason. I got my GC when I was over 30, so I beleive Sel. Service does not apply to me.

Anyway, I will have to just wait until I get my fingerprinting notice and see what they would request me to bring along. I am planning to take whatever I can from the list that I have seen elsewhere on this or other forums.

And I will post any updates when I have.

Your traffic tickets have nothing to do with it. As for selective services, if you are 31 years old younger, you should get a statement from the selective service that you do not need to register even tough you think you are safe. It takes about 4 weeks to get the response, so I would do it right away.

it is pretty normal for them to send the notice with "receipt with exception, missing evidence".
All that means is, at a later time they will request info from you,
It usually depends on how you filled the applications.
i have seen that with almost everyone who has
1) tickets
2) male ( but didn't send letter from selective service )

Finger printing is not done at INS, so you can't submit paperwork.

All you need for Fingerprinting is, GC + FP Letter.

You can take the documentation with you at interview time, unless they send you a mail asking for it.

Thanks for the assurance folks.

We received FP letters. As one of you have said FP is just fingerprinting and nothing else will be asked. I will try to line up as many documents as possible for the interview when it comes. I am 38 years old. So I don't need Sel. Service letter.

Somewhere I read that for tax return documentation, real IRS transcripts are needed. How long does it take to get IRS tax transcripts?

Thanks and regards.
