Non-Availablity of Birth Certificate.

We are born prior to 1970.Though we have matric certificate for date of birth, but we do not have birth certificates. I believe it was not mandatory to register at that time. How to get a non availability of Birth certificate. As I am from Uttar Pradesh India and my spouse from Delhi India.

You can do affidevit through your relative.
Also you can try with your leaving certificate from school and your city Municiple corporation/Gram panchayat can issue Birth certificate from that.
