Hello,
I'm currently working with the OPT. I am married to an american citizen and we are waiting for our first baby. We are in the process of applying for the green card. But my spouse doesn't work, so I need a co-sponsor for the affidavit of support (I-864). We are trying to get my grand-mother in-law to be the co-sponsor, but she is affraid of what would happen if I loose my job, get in car accident and I have to pay huge money for my health.
My question is: If something like that happens, will she be responsible of paying my debts?
Can anybody answer me this question. Hopefully the answer will be No.
