Citizenship and IRS Audit

my returns for last year were audited and I had to pay money to the IRS as my supporting documents were not acceptable. Will this cause an issue with my citizenship approval? thanks

As long as the IRS determined that you did not purposely misled them, all you need to show is that you had paid the amount due, end of story.

Make sure you have all the original documentation about your IRS audit and the final clean chit that you got from them.

Keep this available to submit if required or take it with you for the interview.

You should not have a major issue as long as your records are now clean.
