I am working for Company A & they are sponsoring my GC. I have filed my 485 about 8 months back.

Now, I have recieved an offer from Company B, Can I consider working for 'B' while the GC process is still in progress.

Any thoughts ????

Did you receive your EAD card? If yes, then you can work for company B. Ensure that the salary and nature of work should be same as filed in your labour from Company A. Also inform BCIS stating that Under the rule AC-21 you are working for company B and also file AR-11 form if there is any change of your mailing address.

If you have not received your EAD card then don't go and work for company B on H-1.

Thanks , I have my EAD.

Will it matter ( for any Interview or such thing.. ) even if I am not in the payrolls of company A.

Any idea where I can find Rule AC-21.

I got my EAD card on 6/27/2003. on 7/7/2003 I have an offer thru another company. It is a 1099 contract. My 485 is pending since Mar 10 2002 in CSC. (I am told in CA they give RFE if 485 is pending for more than 1 year). So when I get RFE I will not have payslips to prove my employment as I am not on W2 but I sure will have paycheck details. Will that be OK.

Appreciate your response.

Thanks
