My husband and I applied for his perm residency this March at the Los Angeles Office. He is going for fingerprinting on May1st and on the 3rd for his work permit. I was wondering if he gets his work permit on the same day? Also, what are the next steps? Thanks.

My wife got her EAD (work permit) on the same visit.
As far as I know the next step is the AOS interview. That's what we're waiting for as well.

Yes you'll get the work permit on the same day. The next step will be to go to the SS office and get your hubby his SS card. This can take from 2 weeks to a month depending on where you are.
