Am a US citizen - looking to file for perm.residency for my parents.
Looking for advice on where they should file.
In Chennai (where they live)
or
In the US (they have a 10 yr multiple entry tourist visa and could enter US anytime.

It will be faster if the application is routed for consular processing at Chennai rather than in USA.

My daughter sponsored us for green card and it took 15 months from the time the petition was filed to the time we got the interview call at Chennai. I heard that this process may take more than 3 years if processed in USA.

I agree, AOS in USA always will take longer and it is a sheer waste of time.
