Can one file for I-130 and EAD simultaneously?

Would like to find out if one can start working in the US after he files I-130 through his spouse?

Or should we wait till we file I-485?
Is it possible to file for I-130 and EAD simultaneaously?

Yes, it is possible to do both simultaneously. I got my EAD within a month and a half of applying for I-130 and I-765.

the spouse must be a citizen which will allow you to file both the I-130 and the Adjustment simlutaneously with the work card. You cannot file an I-130 with an EAD application if the spouse is just a Green Card holder.
