Diversity Lottery & PERM-GC simultaneously?

I plan on starting my PERM-GC process in a few days.
Can I still apply for a GC through the Diversity Lottery?

Will one of the processes affect the other?
Should I not do the DV in order not to affect the PERM-GC?
