Hi. It has been eight year since I came from my country. I got my permanent residence this past summer through my stepfather. However, my family and I had applied for political asylum before. That case was on hold for as long as we kept it open. A decision was never made. Now that case is closed. But I am graduating from college in a year and I wanted to know if it is possible for me to go on a vacation to my native country even after I applied for political asylum eight years ago and never got it.
