Question about I-797C?

Hi

We ( myself and my spouse ) had sent our application to the Texas Service Center on 19th December and today we both recieved our I-797C receipt. It just asks us to check our personal information and says the application is in process.

So Can anyone tell me what will be the next steps that I have to look forward too. I live in charlotte,nc, so will I be going to a local USCIS office for fingerprinting.

Please any advice is helpful and also the I-797C says that we should expect to be notified within 730 days of notice for the interview. Is that what everyone gets on their I-797C .

Application Recieved - December 26th 2007 (TSC)
I-797C Recieved - January 12th 2008

I have applied on 3rd january and today 15th jan received a letter from uscis form I-797C and i also received application number which is not enough 13 digit number. what do i have to now?
