I had my & my wife's interview scheduled on Feb 26th at San Jose, CA. But we have to travel to India for a month on 29th Feb to attend brother-in-law's marriage.
I heard that after clearing interview, usually we get Oath letter in 15 days.
What can I do to postpone my Oath ceremony as I won't be here when they will send me the letter.
Do I have to call them before & where should I call?
What documents should I need to send to postpone oath?

I will really appriciate your replies.
thanks.

We had exactly same problem. We traveled to India in January 2008.

My husband told interviewer at the time of interview about the India travel and dates of travel . He requested to give an Oath Date after the travel date.

I did not tell at the time of interview, but I got the letter for Oath before we went to India. The oath date given to me was not suitable so according to instructions on that letter I sent them a letter, they canceled my earlirer appt (which was in Jan) and I got an appointment for a later date.

IMO, Its better to tell at the time of interview...
