how long to get the receipt number in VSC?

How long does it take in VSC to get the receipt number after USCIS receives your application?
My check has already been encashed.

then look at the back of the cancelled check, it should have the receipt number on it. they say it can take upto 30 days to get the receipt back.

I looked all over for it but I can't find anything that looks like a receipt number (3 letters + 10 numbers).

Just got my I-797C. The receipt number was nowhere on the back of the cancelled check. I guess it was too much to expect the information on the USCIS web site to be correct.
