Schengen Visa - Multiple countries

Dear Sir,

My Uncle is an Indian Resident holding an Indian Passport and he needs to travel to Germany and from Germany travel to Barcelona in Spain. Does he need a single entry schengen visa or a multiple entry one?

I would appreciate it if you could reply ASAP as he is intending to travel on 16th February 2008.
