I have one question and wonder if you could give me an advise on this.
I've won in the diversity lottery this year, and received an immigration visa DV1 on my passport. I haven't entered the US yet, but planning to do so in June this year.
In the meantime I've received a part-time job offer from a company in the US, for which I'll do translation jobs from my country. I will not be registered as their employee, but will do independent translation jobs for them. The company says that they will not pay anything from my compensation to taxes, and my compensation will be made through a PayPal account.
I want to find out if I still would have to declare income tax return, even though I have not entered the US yet, and not received a SSN or GC, but if this is US company?
I would really appreciate if you can advice me on this issue.
