not at all Pm1 damn I been waiting it's like forever everyday I check the mail and nothing and it stinks you know really thought for sure it would be soon since the officer had said that they are doing interviews every month now in orlando and it's been since feb 4th I had mine. This is a bummer I am so restricted you know around this time of year I am planning vacation spots to travel outside of the Us and I am just here don't want to renew my country passport when I can just get a Us waste of money but still waiting like you will keep you updated

Congratulations, Flaebony!!! Thanks for letting me know.

I hope I would get mine too...

If this helps, passed interview on Feb 22nd in Orlando. Was told 30-60 days. No answer yet from USCIS, however did manage to get some information by doing further research. The next 3 oath dates in Orlando are April 24th as you already know by now, May 29th and, June 26th. If you requested a name change on your N-400 app. your oath will be administerd at the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida Courthouse in Orlando. The above are the Courthouse scheduled dates for the oath ceremony and they have been confirmed. I believe since 04/24 is the same date for naturalization ceremony at the Orange County Convention Center as well as the Courthouse, the next 2 dates for May and June would be the same as well for regular N-400 applicants. All we can do now is wait for the letter. I have a feeling that if we do not receive the letter by the end of this week, we will be scheduled for May 29th. As with Flaebony, since his interview was Feb 4th and the receipt of his letter was April 2nd, it took almost 2 months for him to be notified. Since we were both interviewed on Feb 22nd, we should hear from them by April 22nd which then would push us for May. Anyway, as I said earlier, I hope this helps and if you do get the letter please post a message for me.
Thanx.

Thanks for the info Asm. I am also thinking that if I don't get it by end of this week, I would have to wait for May. I would let you know if I recieve the letter.

Thanks again for checking up, flaebony. Still waiting on the letter. Doesn't look like May's going to cut in so the next possibility seems to be June. All that can be done is wait and hope, for the best. Will post a msg to your box when it arrives.

Hello everybody. I joined this forum since there is no other info (as far as I am concerned) on the internet regarding the naturalization ceremony in Orlando. I had my interview on April 17th and the officer told me I should get prepared for the oath sometime arround May 22nd. As of today I have not received any letter yet. I also received the N685 form where it states I passed the interview. I have a question for ASM. Are you sure th oath is on May 29th at the convention center or May 22nd. Thank you very much for your help, and I will check the forum soon for replies.

Hello flaebony, since you had gone to the oath taking I just have one question as I am going to May 22nd schedule too at OC Convention Center too, what is really the dress code I mean that proper attire they mean? Is a dress ok, or needs to be really formal like longsleeve shirt or say dress shirt? I would really appreciate your great help. Thanks a lot in advance.

Hello everybody
I am still waiting for my letter too (interview was on April 17th).
ASM thanks for responding to my previous post. Regarding to what you said, yes I was asking for the regular ceremony not the name change. It looks like everybody will go on the 22nd but you say is the 29th. So the question again is :

The regular oath ceremony at convention center is on 22nd as flaebony and laefl72 said or 29th as ASM said? Could you please explain how long after the interview you have received your letters and how do you know is on 29th since everybody seems to receive letters with 22nd?
Thank you in advance

The ceremony is being held at the convention center on May 22nd. May 29th was the date provided over the phone, in March, by an immigration court personnel at "U.S. District Court Middle District of Florida". Again, these dates may not be the same for regular ceremonies. A court held ceremony is for people who had applied for a name change on their original N400 application.

As for the time frame to receive a response from them, it's a guessing game. Hope this clarifies your question.

Hi Flaebony, I wasn't sure if you were still checking messages on this forum. Took a chance to leave a message. Wanted to personally thank you for your support. You're right, it is a good feeling. Now, just waiting the day to celebrate. So, did you make any travel plans yet or are you still waiting for your new passport to arrive? Read somewhere that USCIS is still not caught up. Which means, longer wait times to get the passport back. Anyways, hope you have a great summer. Keep in touch, "pm" when you can.

Take care.

My wife and I have a real problem! Her timeline is:

Mailed N-400: 2 SEP 2007
Received by USCIS:12 SEP 2007
Priority date: 04 JAN 2008
Received FP notice: Feb 12 2008
FP done: 05 Mar 2008
Interview Notice received: 28 May 2008
Interview scheduled for: 01 Aug 2008

Here is the problem - we live outside the US and my wife has applied under Clause 319(b). This is commonly for miliatry spouses, but it is also for US citizen spouses working for a US corporation overseas. Assuming the interview in Orlando goes fine (our attorney believes there should be no problems) we have issues about the oath ceremony and getting a passport. It seems there is no telling how long it will take to get scheduled for an oath ceremony in Orlando. We have to return to our jobs and can't wait for months in the US. It also seems that very little notice is sometimes given ahead of the ceremony. So the issues for us are not only leaving the US right after the interview, but also planning for return travel (inconvenient and expensive!).

Does anyone know how to find out the schedule for the oath ceremonies in Orlando? Our attorney told us to reschedule the interview so she can have it and the oath in one ceremony. He seems like a good attorney, but that doesn't seem possible to me given all I have read. And it has been so long to get teh interview that we don't want to rock the boat!

Thanks.

Hey Flaebony,

Guess what! Got naturalized this morning at the U.S. Middle District Courthouse in downtown Orlando. An incredibly long wait finally ended today with the ultimate gift of all....U.S.Citizenship. Time to pop the champagne and celebrate. You're right! I checked the mailbox everyday, after passing the interview, and each day there were moments of frustration and sadness elevating as days passed into months with no reply.

Well, all that is now put behind and time to move forward. Again, thanks a million for being a good friend. A toast to your friendship and a joyous future. Talk to you soon.
