Schengen Visa

Although living as a resident alien in the United States, I am a citizen of the United Kingdom. As the U.K is a member of EEA, do I need the Schengen visa when I take a cruise which visits several Schengen member countries including Russia? I would appreciate an early reply as time is running short.
