I am studying in Australia on a student visa. I got married a year back and wanted to bring my wife here on spouse/dependent visa.
My spouse's visa is refused for Australia as my status is not updated in embassy from single to married when we applied last time. Because when i applied for student visa i was single and when i reached Australia i married..so the status change is the main problem. Her visa refused under 573.314 and sub class 2.07AF

Now i have update my status from single to married in embassy and we want to re-apply it again.

Please provide me any solution if you know. i am in great need of help. My worry is that if i'll apply again the Consulate will refuse it based on the last refusal or accept it?

Provide some solutions of this problems.

Hi Ricky,

It is not surprising that your wife's visa was rejected as you did not update the records with the DIAC office. If you have taken an appropriate action then there should not be any difficulty in getting the visa. However, I wish to add here that there are numerous other conditions that you have to fulfill jointly - financial, health, relationship etc to name a few. Always go through the application thoroughly, try to answer all questions properly, check up with the DIAC offices for the conditions. If still in doubt seek professional help from people who are authorized to extend Immigration Advice.
