Hi....I (61 yrs)wife (59yrs),both US citizens..hv a home in TX and in India....we r retired and stay 6 mo. ea in Tx and India or travel . Both are healthy but I had a elective by pass in 1999..not due to heart attack butdue to routine exam..having narrower arteries and some blocks and to prevent possible heart attack. I take aspirin, atenol, atorvastatin..but healthy...Don't hv any problems like BP or sugar etc....would like to hv very good insurance company to cover me in USA w/max deductible and 1 million coverage...I hv my own insurance in India.... I can take yearly insurance or monthly....o problem...At 65 I will get my mediclaim...but i need insurance until then... would u suggest me to buy yearly insurance ( don't mind and can afford if works cheaper) or monthly...what A+ company would U recommend and what is the annual or monthly premiums for both of us and how do we apply...while in USA we normally travel within USA, whenever we hv a chance...pls do advise....thanks...

I looked t citizen secure ....is it the right one.....w/5000 deductible, the annual premium it says is $3784/...who is the insurance provider and AM rating?
My wife is perfect healthy and ihad bYpass surgery done in April 1999 and i am perfectly healthy....Now i take atenol, ecospirin, strovas..in such a case, I assume that this will be excluded but for how long? pls advise.....For claims should i use insurance card or need to get approval if I hv major med situation.....pls advise and i will take insurance....thanks...

For short term visit less than 6 months, you can purchase Liaison International http://www.insubuy.com/sevencorners/liaisoninternational.jsp as long as you spend more time outside the US than inside the US.

Yes, Citizen Secure is a good plan. The underwriter is Lloyds and the AM Best rating is A "Excellent". It will cover pre-existing conditions just like any other medical conditions as long as disclosed on the application and not excluded by the rider. If rider is put, it will mention whether it will be permanent exclusion or for X number of years.

1. Please note that this insurance is meant for a long term annual basis and not just for a short duration travel. Therefore, you should buy the insurance and make it effective when you are in India. (This answers your other email too.)
2. OK.

1. Insurance can be effective as early as the next day.
2. Yes, you can go to any doctor/hospital.
3. GMI Platinum provides the most amount of coverage.
