Applying for citizenship when greencard renewal pending

Hi,

I'm a permanent resident in USA. My case for renewing my green card is in pending .My question for you is this: "it's possible for me to apply for a citizenship or I have to wait to get my new green card?". I am married with an American citizen for 4 years now but the problem is that the green card that I have is expired....I had an stamp on my passport who extend my travel and my working permit with one year more but I don't know if I'm eligible to apply for the citizenship if I haven't got my new green card yet"

You can apply for citizenship now. You don't have to wait for greencard renewal.
