Hello,

My naturalization interview is next week and I applied based on my marriage with my wife (USC). Unfortunately she won't be able to go with me due to health reasons. Can this be a problem? Does she need to be with me inside the USCIS building and during the interview? The trip from our home to the USCIS office is quite long (4 hours of driving).

Also, when I called IRS asking for Form 1722, they told me that 4506 is the same thing, since they don't issue 1722 anymore. Can this become an issue during the interview?

Thanks for the help!!:)

... your spouse's presence is not required for this interview to the best of my knowledge and understanding.

Take care.

Thanks for the reply, knowledgeable. Any word about the 1722/4506 forms from IRS?

... why can't you use your 1040 copies that you submitted?

Anyway, yes you can use 4506 and there's a revision of this form as of January 2008.
