B2 to J1 change of status

Hi guys,

I came to the US on a visitor visa and applied for a change of status to J1. Its now more than 4 months that I ahve applied but I have got no response yet. Anyone out there has any suggestion or same experience? Please let me know what I should do.

In how much time after entering did you apply for COS. what was your intitial purpose of travel on B visa?

After 4 months of entering, my B visa was for taking USMLE CS exam. I had a 6 months B2 visa
