Simultaneous NIW and Labor Certification: Is it allowed?

Can I make two EB2 applications for myself simultaneously?
One via the Labor Certification route and one via
a self-applied NIW?

If anybody has any inputs, I will greatly appreciate them.

I asked the same question to my lawyer.
I was told it is fine. There is no conflit between the two petitions.
