am posting this for my friend.

She got her GC (dependent) through her husband a little over a year ago. Now her husband is divorcing her. The marriage is less than 3 years old. What will be her status? Can he cancel her GC? Can she fight back?

I am assuming that your friend and her husband did employment based greencard.

If that is the case, I am not 100% sure, but I would apply the same logic as in the case of employer/employee relationship. When you get GC through employer, do you have to stay with them forever? As long as both parties had no intention of breaking the relationship at the time of GC, things are fine if the employer leaves some time after getting GC.

I believe that same thing could be applied in this case too.

If your friend got her GC through family based petition that her husband filed for her, it is different case altogether.
