Transit Visa

Hi,

I want to know if I require transit visa for the following situation:

I had booked by flight from San Fransisco - Mumbai - San Fransisco with Jet-Airways (which are supposed to be via Pacific way - in both directions). My returning flight is in end of Jan 2009 from Mumbai. But, Jet-Airways is closing all flights from 13 Jan 2009. And so, they transfered me in Mumbai - London(Jet-Airways) and then London - San Fransisco (United Airlines). (Waiting time between two flights is about 3 hours 30 minutes.)

So, please tell me is it required for me to have transit visa for UK? I have Indian passport and also have valid H1-B visa for USA.

I saw your post and mine is a similar case.
when coming back from India i am transiting thro London.
Jet airways Mumbai-London
Northwest London-Detroit.
The wait time in London is 3 hrs.

I have a valid US Visa stamped till 2011/Indian Passport.

So when you transited thro London, did they ask you about transit visa or check documents.
