I think we should simply create a 5 point questionaire and
rate the insurance companies.

If you have bought insurance from immihelp, could you please let us know a company you have dealt with and you would surely recommend, ALSO please let us know companies we should surely avoid.

I see offers from immihelp assuring members that they could help with any issues, but that is unfortunately not a reality, insurance companies are in business for one reason to make money and if they can shrug you off for anything they will do so - which I think is not illegal but painful to us.

We, InsuBuy.com, are brokers and advertise heavily on immihelp.com

Therefore, whenever you purchase insurance online after seeing an ad on immihelp.com, you are actually purchasing it through us.

We are brokers. Therefore, we work for our customers, and not for any insurance company. (Of course, insurance companies pay us commission and we do not charge anything to our customers. You should be beware of some agents that charge some add on fees of their own in terms of more application fee. Most people look at the premium, and don't realize sometimes that they are being charged more application fee. We never do that.)

We are open from 9 AM-11 PM, 7 days a week. Therefore, you can reach us any time during that period. I don't know of any other agency that is open those many hours.

We have largest selection of visitor health insurance plans and lots of information, all in one place. Depending upon your needs, we recommend the plan that would be most suitable to you. (Fixed, Comprehensive, Cheaper, Renewable, Any doctor, PPO etc.)

And if you have any questions after purchasing the policy, you can contact us. And if you have any problems in claims, you can send us all the paperwork(medical records, doctors bills, explanation of benefits from insurance companies). We will evaluate ourselves as neutral party and if there is some confusion, we will help you clear that.

Most of the times, it is the lack of understanding on the customer side regarding what to expect from the insurance policy.

Common cases where get from customers are -

Insurance company did not pay completely - In this case, the customer has purchased fixed coverage plan. And it is cheaper plan, has limitations regarding how much they will pay. It is clearly written in brochure, and whoever calls, we explain them clearly. And we explain that, and case is resolved.

Insurance did not pay anything - In this case, most of the times, it is due to pre-existing conditions. In some of the cases, we asked several questions to the customers, and were able to find out and pin point that the person had pre-existing problem before purchasing the insurance and in most of those cases, customer agreed too. In that case, insurance company will not pay of course.

Claims are pending for long time - It is possible that around the fall time, when the peak travel season is over, most people have purchased insurance just before that in summer, and therefore there could be some backlog because of lot of load. We contact the claim adjustor to see if the claim can be expedited.

And we get less than 0.01% of the customers who complain like that, for all of the above reasons. Therefore, there are virtually no complaints at all.

There are several other types of help that we provide such as resending the card, searching for a doctor etc.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us by posting here or calling us at 1-866-INSU-BUY.

Before I call, would like to have one's opinion on deductibles.

Low deductible - high premiums

high deductible - low premiums..

I think 100$ for deductible is just too much, deductibles in the range of 25-50 are acceptable. What do you think and are there insurance companies at least ones (on immihelp) that would have lower deductibles, I think I see only 100$ deductibles.

thanks

For comprehensive plans, $100 is the lowest deductible available. Please note that this deductible is just one per policy period. NOT once per every visit, not once per every sick. That means, if you buy insurance for 5 months, no matter how many times you use it, deductible is just once.

For fixed plans, $75 is the lowest deductible available. In Visitors Care, deductible is once per policy period, while in Inbound USA, deductible is once per every sickness/injury.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
