Hi all,
This is regarding a very urgent business. I am on J2 dependent visa right now on my husband. Our original visas were issued and stamped in 2007, and we got our visa renewed and got new ds2019 in july this year. Both of our visas are not stamped on the passport as we didn't travel outside USA. now I have to travel alone to india next week( my husband will stay here in USA) and hv an appt at us embassy on 15 th december for my visa resatmping. now would i have any trouble getting my passport stamped without my husbands current visa not being stamped, though we both hv valid ds2019 endorsed for travel. PLEASE ADVISE ..somebody who has gone thriugh this before , I would really appreciate ur input....

No trouble. You need to show his DS form (copy) and I-94 copy.

I did not have any experience but AFAIK his status in the US depends upon I-94 and not the visa. Visa is only good for entering. You can show the expired visa copy just in case.
