urgent senator letter

Hi all,
My mother has been rejected a US visitor visa.I am thinking of applying again once I get a letter from the senator.Can someone pls let me know how to get in touch with the senator office and how to get a letter for my mom.How does the procedure work.I also heard that once we get a letter from the senator they fax it directly to counsalte (chennai ) . Does she have to schedule another interview again once the senators letter reaches the counsalate.Can someone pls help him on this

How does Senator Letter help in getting a visitor visa? Can you please explain?

Sometimes senator sends muththa in faxed letter to consular official based upon which they gladly issue visa.
