hi
my mom's B2 visa got rejected (214b) a month back at mumbai consulate, as we wrote the purpose of her trip 'to help my daughter with her pregnancy'..that was a big mistake..now she is applying again. this time we have changed the purpose of trip to tourism. is it ok? do they also keep record of the old rejected application form and will they compare it with the new one? are there any chances of rejecting the visa again on the basis that the purpose of trip have been changed from last time.. will this affect the visa process in anyway? if yes, then what should the purpose of trip be this time? i am highly confused!
any help would be highly appreciated. thanks

Purpose of visitor visa should always be visiting or tourism. For any thing else, there is high chance of rejection. They do keep record of old rejection and compare.

Hope for the best.
