Hi everyone,

My husband is a US citizen. We have been married for four and a half years. I received my conditioned green card on October 2006 and applied for removal of condition last year in august. I just received my second green card and I will like apply for citizenship.
I am confused about the time frame.
There has to be 3 years since I received my first green card, or 3 years since we got married.
I appreciate any word of advice.

Thank you

Take a look at your greencard, find the date in "Resident Since." Add 3 years to that date and subtract 90 days - that is the earliest date you can file for naturalization.

Cheers.

ok noted homoerectus.

Additional Q. My wife was a greencard holder for 4years, she left the US and resided outside the US for the next 9 years. Her greencard expired last 2003 coz she failed to go back to US. She succesfully re-instated her greencard status this year and got a new one after going back to the US last Nov 2008.

My question is, does she have to wait another 3 years to be qualified to apply for citizenship? or the first 4 years she spent in the US can do? given those numbers you posted.

thanks in advance
