Translator related question.

I have taken appointment at US Consulate at Chenai for a visitor visa. While taking appointment I have mentioned that translator is required for our candidate. My questions is, does we have to hire a translator or embassy will provide the service ? If I have to hire,
can I get anyone from outside ? or have to hire only the embassy approved translators ?

You have to use only consulate provided translator. They will provide one at no additional cost to you.
