Hello,
I am completing the N-400 for my husband. I am a bit confused on Question #33. Are you a male who live in the US at any time between your 18th and 26th birthdays in any status except as a lawful nonimmigrant?

My husband came over on a K-1(fiance visa) and then became a permanent resident. Do we check off no?

I appreciate any insight.

Put No. Put Yes, only if your husband was a US Citizen between the age range.

I'm confused, he would not have been a US Citizen between the age range, since we are just filing the paperwork.

Go to http://www.immihelp.com/immigration/register-selective-service.html and there is a chart there that shows if you have to put yes or no.
I just did my husband's and since he was here when he was 24 but on a valid student visa...i put no. If you are on a valid visa, you don't have to apply for selective service. hope that helps.
