Chennai Consulate has rejected Visitor Visa to my parents because I do not have any brothers or sisters in India. Parents applied together. In spite of showing all real estate, property, Bank accounts, relative photographs and other papers they rejected a Visa saying that they are not convinced that my parents would return back because they have only one son and he is a Permanent resident in United States. I also had a Senator send a letter to the Consulate.

Still no VISA.

Any one in my situation or any suggestions ?

My mom is a widow and I am her only Child.
She applied visitor's Visa on Nov.20th and got rejected for similar reason.

Also I would like to know how to approach the Senator to get a letter and how long does it take?

Thanks

my mom's visa got rejected the second time. i have realized one thing, that inspite of having every documents in place and perfect it all depends on the whims of the visa officer. what are the rules for rejection or acceptance..will someone tell me?
i am about to have a baby..i wished to share the greatest joy of my life with my mom but unfortunately the people sitting behind those desks at the consulate dont have any sentiments or considerations towards anybody or any situations. my mom has fallen sick after being rejected the second time. i have lost all hope. i have accepted the fact that our child will be born without her grandparents' blessings...
i have nothing more to say to anybody...good luck to people applying for thier moms...and my empathies to those who are in conditions like mine.
thanks for reading my thoughts.
just one question...did i ask for anything so great that i had to be turned down so cruelly the second time?
