Hi, I did my MS in Information Systems. After completing 65 days of unemployement on post completion OPT, I joined a consultant for projects. I am not being paid neither am I being trained. It is purely to look for projects. I did submit the offer letter(saying its a fulltime internship) by the consultant to the International Student Service Office. But now I am joining another Consultant for my H-1B application as the previous one has refused to apply for my H-1B cus I havent gotten any projects.

My Question is:

Can I show it as an unpaid Internship/Volunteer work. I dont want to show it as an employment cus I would then have to show fake paystubs which I dont want to.

If yes, How do I show it as an unpaid Internship/Volunteer work...?

Greetings,

For post completion OPT period of 12 months, you do not have show paystubs. You can work volunteer and unpaid intern.... You do not have to show anything to anyone..

Go and apply for H1B

The Consultant who was marketing my resume refuses to give me a letter saying I did an unpaid internship for 20hrs a week.

Is this employment verification letter on OPT important document for H1B application? Would it pose a problem if I dont submit this letter along with other documents for H1B? Please answer me. Thanks
