INS has called me for Finger prints. I have a few questions regarding the same..
1.After the finger prints, how long does it take to be called for the interview?
2. what do they do/ask in the interview?
3. What papers should i carry with me when I go in for the interview?
4. How long does it take to get the green card after FP/interview?
Thanks

Hi HaveQS,
1) Some people get their Approval Notice/Interview within 1.5 to 2 months of FP while others have waited for as long as 1.5 years. Based on my observation and discussion with others, I find that there is an approximate wait time of 1 to 1.25 years from ND to Final Approval. If you get your FP in 2 months, Approval after FP will take longer and if you get your FP in 9 months, your approval time after FP will be shorter. Nevertheless, I heard of a couple of stray cases whose FP was done after 3 months of ND and Approval came within another 2 months of FP. Also, some people/attorneys say that after ND, even PD is taken into account for I-485 processing but there is no documentation on that. If you ask INS IIO, they will tell you that ND is the only date by which they move I-485 cases.
2)No idea
3)See on this site, www.immihelp.com and there is documentation avaialble.
4)See (1) above.
All the Best!
Doniw.

PD = Priority Date(date of filing LC)
LC = Labour Condition
ND = Notice Date(of 485)
RD = Receipt Date(of 485)
RFE = Request for further evidence
I had trouble with this too!!

Just wanted to find out if anyone knows the number for FBI finger print enquiry number. I got my fingerprinting done on September 2001. Haven't heard anything from INS or FBI.
I will really appreciate if anyone can give me some info on this.
Thanks
