My (recently married) wife has been here as an ESL teacher for almost 2 years. Her work contract will be over at end of school year (2010). In order to file the 485 & 130, apparently we need a waiver of the 2 year home residency requirement first. The Venezuelan embassy in New Orleans is no help on how to go about this. They only say "get an immi attorney". I shouldn't need, and cant afford, an attorney to file for the waiver. I probably will use an attorney when time to file for status change though. I am wondering if anyone here can give me some help on how we go about starting the process to get the waiver?
