EAD and H4 related questions

Hello All,
I am on a h1 valid till Dec 2003. i have already applied for my I-485 in April, but I am planning to gt married in Jan (My lawyer tells me that my wife's 485 application can be added later, provided mine is not approved by then).

If I apply for an EAD and AP now,
1. will my H1- become invalid ? Or will my H-1 still remain intact.?
2. Can I bring my spouse into the US on a H-4?
3. If I apply for her EAD as well, can she got to school on a H-4 and take on-campus assitantship using her EAD.?

Not a legal advice but my understanding and experience

1- H1 remains valid
2- yes
3- for her to have an EAD and AP she will need to have filed a 485 as well. H4 is okay to go to school but doesn't allow any work in US. , she will need the EAD for that. Depending on the school, tuition are more expensive for non resident
