While in the US under a visitor's visa, a potential employer applied for an H2B visa for me. Before the H2B visa was granted, the potential employer cancelled the application. My visitor's visa has not yet expired (based on I-94 date). Can I stay in the US until my visitor's visa has expired? I was advised that one visa application has nothing to do with the other, but I am worried that by applying for, then canceling my H2B application, my visitor's visa is put into jeopardy. Also, I would like to apply for an extension of my visitor visa once the deadline approaches. Any advise is appreciated.
