Port of entry for F1 visa

Hi,

I am comming to Mobile, Atlanta on F1 visa for first time. I have visa stamping done in Delhi, India. I want to go via New York to Atlant, becoz my sister stays there. Is it possible to go via New York even I have admission in college at Mobile. Basically I want port of entry at New York. I don't want any hassels.

In case it possible, please let me know what all documents/ticket I need to carry.

Hi Krishna,

Buddy, i m frm delhi and got I-20 and will be going to Virginia provided i get my visa. I wud really appreciate if u cud tell me wut were u really asked at embassy and with wut all documents u went there. I hv been sponsored by my uncle from delhi itself and hv enough to prove that i can support myself for 2 years. Also i wud be going with my family IT return and other details.

Please advise.
