Income tax in India-Question

Respected sir/madam,

I am on work visa in US and paying income tax here. If I sell land in India and do not purchase another piece of land within 6 months, the gained income is subject to tax. I want to know what documents I should provide the attorney in India. do you know any website where I can find more information?

You need to get the certificate from the Chartered Accountant in India that all the due tax has been paid.

You can show that certificate to the bank and they can remit that money from your NRO account into your US account, if you like to.
