Hi, Friends !!

I am opting for I-485 instead of consular processing even after knowing tha tCP takes much less time...
I was wondering if any of you have an idea of how much time 485's are taking these days ? IS it too long so I might actually change my idea of doing AO S and opt for CP instead..

BTW, then INS where my GC is filed is Vermont (if that makes any difference ;-))

Thanks in advance !!

I opted for AOS and applied in June. Still haven't got the receipt. While my friend who applied for CP, has already got interviewed in Delhi and got GC.

If u want to take advantage of 180 day rule and can wait for 18 months to get GC stick with AOS, otherwise get GC and be free in 180 days via CP.

The difference is Time (atleast 18 months) Vs Money (to buy tickets to your home country).
