Hi...I completed my MBBS from India and on F-1 now. I got a research position at a university and I would like to take a J-1 visa being offered by the university. For F-1 to J-1 conversion with in US I was told that it would take 4-5 months. While I wait for the J-1 visa and maintain my F-1 what would be my position if J-1 is rejected? can I stay on F-1 ? or Have I to leave the country?Please let me know..
