Effect of AP and EAD on I-485 Processing time

Does applying for EAD and/or Advance Parole adversely effect the 485 processing time ? I am hearing rumours from many people saying that AP in particular adversely effects the time it takes to process 485, although my lawyer thinks otherwise. Is this true ?? Any help would be appreciated.

my experience is that it doesn't. always good to have EAD and AP.
