Applying for SSN

Hi,

my cousin is coming to California next week on a H1B visa. His I-797 was approved from VSC (Vermont). Can he apply for his SSN in Los Angeles though his employer is in the East coast ?

Sure he can.

Just make sure he takes passport that has H1 visa stamped in it.
